Bromley Phoenix achieves registered charity status

11 July, 2025

We are delighted to announce that Bromley Phoenix Basketball has formally become a registered charity in England.

This milestone marks a critical step in our mission to build a sustainable, inclusive basketball club for Bromley. As a charity, we will continue to expand our youth and community programmes alongside unlocking valuable charitable funding while deepening partnerships with local businesses, schools, community groups and supporters.

“Becoming a registered charity has been a major aim since day one,” said Andy Roser, Co-Founder and Head of Senior Basketball. “This status gives us the platform to attract grants and donations that will directly benefit our players – from junior squads all the way to adults – and ensure long-term continuity for the club.”

Rob MacAllister, Co-Founder and Head of Junior Basketball, added: “As a charity, we’re even better placed to live our values of inclusivity and community development. We will continue to provide high quality and structured coaching for young players of all backgrounds and abilities, offer financial support, and partner more closely with local businesses and community groups.”

The club’s charity status is a major step forward – thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. Together, we will take Bromley Phoenix to new heights, on and off the court.
