This past weekend marked the start of the season in the London South CVL, with both our U14 and U16 squads stepping onto the court for their first official games of the year. It was a weekend full of intensity, learning, and early glimpses of what these talented squads can achieve.
Our U14s faced a tough challenge against iBall Academy. Despite coming up short in a 20–34 battle, the team showed tremendous heart and energy from start to finish. Players battled for every rebound, pushed hard on defense, and demonstrated the kind of focus and teamwork that will serve them well as the season progresses. It was a match full of valuable lessons, and the effort they put in gives us great confidence for the games ahead.

Meanwhile, our U16s took on the Croydon Cougars in a thrilling matchup that went down to the wire. The team fought hard in every quarter and held their composure when it mattered most, ultimately securing a 47–44 victory. It was a true team effort, with standout contributions in both offence and defence, and a perfect example of the grit and determination that defines our squads.

Beyond the results, what stood out most across both age groups was the spirit, resilience, and sportsmanship on display. These young athletes approached each challenge with focus and positivity, embodying the values we aim to develop both on and off the court.
This weekend was a promising start to what we hope will be a memorable and successful season. The energy, fight, and commitment shown by both squads have set the tone for the weeks ahead and we could not be prouder of the players, coaches, and everyone supporting them.
