NEW U12 Mixed Community Session at Bromley Phoenix

21 January, 2026

Bromley Phoenix is pleased to announce the launch of our U12 Mixed Session, creating an inclusive and supportive basketball environment for boys and girls to play, learn, and develop together.

Delivered through the Phoenix Foundation, these sessions are designed to increase junior participation and provide accessible community basketball opportunities for young players of all abilities. The Foundation focuses on removing barriers to entry and creating welcoming spaces where children can build confidence, learn fundamental skills, and develop a positive relationship with the game.

The U12 Mixed Session brings boys and girls together in a shared learning environment, helping players develop not only their basketball skills but also teamwork, communication, and respect for one another. Sessions are led by Bromley Phoenix coaches and are structured to balance skill development, game understanding, and enjoyment in a safe and positive setting.

Rob MacAllister, Co-Founder and Head of Junior Basketball at Bromley Phoenix said: “Mixed sessions at this age are hugely important. They create an environment where everyone feels included and valued, while allowing players to develop at their own pace. Our aim is to make basketball enjoyable and accessible, while laying strong foundations for future development, both on and off the court.”

The U12 Mixed Community Run forms part of Bromley Phoenix’s wider junior community offering through the Phoenix Foundation, supporting young people to stay active, build confidence, and engage with basketball in a positive way.
