Bromley Phoenix Basketball Club is proud to announce that our U16 Boys squad have been crowned London Central Basketball LeagueChampions – a historic achievement in the club’s very first year of operation.

The squad finished the season with an outstanding record of 8 wins and 2 losses from 10 games, level on points with Croydon Cougars but claiming the title on the strength of their head-to-head result. It is a worthy and hard-earned championship.

This is more than a league title. For a club that did not exist 12 months ago, it is a statement. These young men have represented Bromley Phoenix with determination and character throughout the season, and this moment belongs to them.

Rob MacAllister, Head of Junior Basketball at Bromley Phoenix, reflected on what the squad has achieved:

“I am incredibly proud of every single one of these young men. Week in, week out, they brought effort and intensity that you cannot coach – that comes from within. To win a league title in our first season as a club is something we will never forget. This group has set the standard for everything that follows at Bromley Phoenix.”

The U16 Boys squad will be celebrated at the club’s Awards Evening and 1st Birthday Celebrations on 30th May. It promises to be a special night and these players will rightly take centre stage.
