Background
Dani’s life has been deeply intertwined with basketball, having played the sport at an amateur level for over 35 years. Originally from Madrid, Spain, Dani became a key figure in the Bromley basketball community after relocating and joining Bromley Fury, where he spent the last decade contributing both on and off the court. His involvement extended far beyond playing, he held several important roles within the club, including Club Secretary, Social Secretary, and most recently, Second Team Secretary. His leadership and dedication culminated in a major achievement: guiding the team to its first silverware in recent years by winning the Medway Basketball Division 2 league title.
Outside the court, Dani brings over 20 years of professional experience in the finance sector, having worked across Financial Planning, Credit Risk, and Control functions in several high-profile organisations. His financial expertise is matched by his strong sense of responsibility and vision, qualities that he consistently applies to every role he takes on.
In recent years
Dani is now channeling his passion and skills into Bromley Phoenix, where he plays a central role in shaping the future of the senior teams. He is committed to building a cohesive and motivated environment by ensuring we welcome all into the club and that all members are aligned with its mission and values.
Today, Dani steps into a new chapter as Trustee and Finance Officer (Treasurer) of Bromley Phoenix. With his extensive background in finance and unwavering dedication to basketball, Dani is well-positioned to help the club grow in a sustainable way—carefully managing resources to ensure that every player, coach, and supporter benefits from a thriving, well-run organisation.
